About Me

I am going to give YOU a jump start into this blog and into my mind by telling you a few things you would know if we were best friends (we probably will be soon anyway)

  • I am crazy
This is the first, and most important thing most people learn about me. I have a very unique view on life, I am not afraid to be different or go against the flow, and I believe that (most) rules are meant to be broken.
  • I am happy
Like most people I have my bad days (sometimes weeks) and I have my struggles, which I fight with ice cream and cuddles and sunshine. Generally I am one of the happiest people you will ever meet. Maybe because I have so much to be thankful for, or maybe because I spend most of my time looking at life with a propitious attitude.

  • I am all about my faith
I believe in so much more then what we see with our eyes. I believe in purpose, and true love. I believe in a loving God. I believe in heaven, and angels. If you ever see me driving and I look like i'm talking to myself consider it normal. I am most likely having a conversations with the one who gave me everything.
That or singing along to my favorite album for the moment.
But seriously, I'd be nothing without my Savior. Jesus found me at a very vulnerable and scary time in my life. I would be in a completely different (and most likely horrible) situation today if he had not rescued me and been caring for me in ways I never saw all these years. He saved my life. He has blessed me with more then I'v ever asked for. And I owe everything to Him.

  • I am a wanna be health nut
I LOVE healthy stuff. I love learning about, cooking, and focusing on all things healthy. From foods, to lifestyle choices, to cleaning products. I have struggled my whole life with various health issues, and I want to do everything I can to be as healthy as I can. That means a lot of sacrifices and changes for me and my family. Even more then I want to be healthy, I want to raise my children into healthy habits. Being healthy is super hard in america. When everything is ready to pop in the microwave, or pick up in a drive through, its so hard to stay true to your goals. I will admit that this is something I fail at 80% of the time. But that doesn't mean I won't stop trying!

  • I have a lot of obsessions/hobbies
The biggest one is my art. But I am an artist in so many ways, its often hard to reign myself in to focus on one thing. Besides painting and drawing, I am also in love with writing, photography, sewing, cooking, baking, storm chasing, and of course climbing trees. The only thing I don't attempt anymore is music. I Love music, and I love to sing, but keep your instruments away from me! Unless you want your ears to bleed. I think iv tried to learn 5 different instruments. The most success I had was with the recorder in middle school...

  •  I am a huge Taylor Swift fan
Her music, her attitude, her life, her fans, all of it = <3  And, I am a fan of all "happy" music as my husband titles it. Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Mindy Gledhill, Owl City, Phil Collins, Dobbie grey. And I am a little overly in love with 90's country and 80's pop.

  • I am Disney crazy
Yes, I am one of those 20 somethings obsessed with each and every Disney movie, song, and character. I love them, I sing them, I watch them, I want to be them. Disney makes my heart (and my artistic eye) extremely happy

  • I hate Television
Not movies or shows in particular, just what they do to our brains, our children, and our husbands. We don't have cable in our house (just Netflix) and I plan to keep it that way. There is so many better ways to spend our time.

  • I am a wife
My husband, is the first best thing to ever happen to me. He is the most amazing person I know. He has a huge heart for people, and for God, and he treats me better then I deserve. My husband is my go to person for everything. He is who I want to share my joys and sorrows with, who I share my faith with, he is who I can't stand being a minute without. I fall more in love with him every day. We have had so many adventures together, and we have been through so very much. We have gone through health scares, friendship losses, job changes, a cross country move, some pretty amazing world travels, and just recently the challenging birth of our son. Watching him become a father is possibly the most incredible thing I have ever seen.
My husband and I , were a team.
We believe that the "honeymoon stage" can last as long as you want it to, our goal - forever. We are dedicated to our relationship and to each other.
We are truly and madly in love.

  • I am a mother
how long have I wanted to be able to type that? forever. I am a mother. And it is the most amazing, most beautiful, most difficult thing I have ever had to be. My son was born October 6th, 2015. Our labor was long and hard, and the weeks to come would be even longer and harder. We spent the first two weeks of his life in the NICU, something I wouldn't wish on anyone. That stretch of life, was so challenging and stretching on all of us. It changed us for the better.
Now he is home, he is 100% healthy, and we are so in love. He is the most amazing blessing, and at the same time one of the most difficult trials. It is harder then we ever imagined, but we wouldn't trade it for the world.

I think that is all the Important stuff. There is probably a lot I could add to this list, but like every friendship I am sure we will learn more about each other with time.

One more fun fact before you go: I love my readers. I am sincere about this. Thank you for being you, and for taking time to invest in this blog. I hope you find something to inspire you, help you, or make you smile. Don't ever give up, always have faith, be yourself, and have a wonderful day today :)

GOD BLESS!
